How does a MyPetTag QR tag work?
Each tag holds a unique QR code. Anyone who finds your pet scans it with a phone camera and instantly reaches a page with the contact details you chose to share. No app is required.
Is MyPetTag free?
Yes. Your first 2 pets are free, with every feature: the QR page, lost mode and scan alerts. You print the tag yourself from free 3D models on MakerWorld. MyPetTag Plus adds room for up to 10 pets, a health record and a lost-pet poster, for 14.99 EUR a year.
What happens to my tags if I stop Plus?
Nothing changes for your tags: every page stays online and lost mode keeps working. Only the Plus extras stop.
Do I need an app to scan the tag?
No. The QR code opens in any phone camera or browser. The finder needs nothing installed.
What information is shown when someone scans the tag?
Only what you choose: pet name, your name, phone or email. You control privacy and can take the page offline anytime. It is GDPR-friendly.
Can the person who finds my pet contact me?
Yes. They can call you, share their exact location by SMS or email, or leave a message from the page, you are notified instantly by email.
How much does the tag cost to print?
With your own 3D printer, a few cents of filament. Without one, a local print service like Treatstock prints and ships it for a few euros, the price is set by the printer, not by MyPetTag. The 3D models are free.
Where is my data stored?
On our own server in France, in the European Union. When you delete a pet, its page, photos, messages, reminders and scan history are removed at once. Only the daily server backups keep a copy for a short time.
